EXPERIENCED PARAPLANNER
Location: CENTRAL MANCHESTER
Salary: UP TO £55,000
We are seeking a highly organised and technically skilled Paraplanner to join our clients growing financial planning team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in financial planning, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to produce high-quality, compliant client documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company processes and procedures.
- Assist in creating financial planning solutions aligned with client objectives, including income strategies and inheritance tax (IHT) planning.
- Prepare suitability reports for ISAs, GIAs, and pensions.
- Complete client review work within required timescales.
- Analyse client investment portfolios and prepare supporting documentation for review meetings.
- Draft post-review summary letters and update Intelligent Office (iO) accurately.
- Collaborate with advisers and support staff to maintain target service levels.
- Attend technical seminars, investment meetings, and internal paraplanner sessions.
- Conduct research on suitable providers and investment products.
- Communicate professionally with clients as required.
- Maintain an up-to-date CPD record.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required.
Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge of ISAs, GIAs, pensions (including SIPP & SSAS), and onshore/offshore bonds.
- Understanding of pension withdrawal options (PCLS, UFPLS, Flexi-Access Drawdown).
- Experience with personal and business protection products.
- Familiarity with tapered annual allowance, pension carry forward, and investment bond chargeable event calculations.
- Experience with product transfers/switches and investment-based trusts.
- Ability to build cashflow models and analyse tax implications (income tax, dividend tax, CGT, IHT).
- Knowledge of tax planning products (VCT, EIS, AIM) and other tax reliefs.
- Experience handling probate and divorce-related financial planning.
- Understanding of different investment types, including discretionary managed portfolios.
- Awareness of compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
