Questech are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter on behalf of our client in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

This client are a fast paced Production facility, experiencing substantial growth.

The Mechanical Maintenance Fitter is responsible for all on site mechanical installations

The Person:

* Mechanically Qualified - NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical engineering

* Apprentice Trained would be preferred

* Knowledge needed of mechanical equipment and installations

* Experience of welding would be an advantage

* Pneumatic controls

The Role:

* we are looking for someone with factory & machine maintenance / repair / installation experience in a versatile manufacturing environment.

* Maintaining of other areas of the factory - planned maintenance and undertaking other functions to facilitate the smooth running of the factory.

* To ensure that all machinery and the factory building are a safe and efficient place to work and visit.

* To monitor, maintain or repair machinery to allow maximum production output and efficiency.

* Improve or replace machinery and processes to increase reliability, production output and minimise disruption to the business.

* Respond quickly to production machine issues as they arise.

* Ensure factory/machines/site remain safe to use or be around.

* Ensure all the relevant paperwork is correctly completed.

* Awareness of Health and Safety and hygiene policies.

* Ensuring a clean & safe working environment is maintained.

* Undertaking other duties as requested by the Departmental Managers or other company Managers.

This role is working a Monday to Friday - Standard Day shifts.

The basic salary will be £37,000pa.
