Elevation Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be supporting a leading manufacturing business as they look to expand their busy finance function and recruit an ambitious and committed, Assistant Accountant on a full time, permanent basis!

The successful candidate will be joining a fun and friendly environment, reporting to the Financial Controller. The role requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience of preparing timely and accurate information to stakeholders whilst having the ambition to continuously improve processes and controls.

Duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:

*Take ownership over the accounts payable duties.
*Prepare invoices, through to payment runs, reconciliations & reporting.
*Prepare monthly P&L accounts and balance sheets for entities within the group.
*Prepare and process journals, accruals and prepayments.
*Prepare control reconciliations, investigate and resolve queries.
*Manage daily invoice financing reporting and reconciliations.
*Prepare customer rebate reports and controls, working with Sales Ledger.
*Prepare VAT returns and other regulatory submissions.
*Prepare information for tax management and reporting.
*Assist with consolidated accounts and reports.
*Assist with the audit and statutory accounts.

Person Specification:

*Previous experience of management accounts preferred.
*AAT Qualified or studying CIMA/ACCA.
*Excel skills to Pivot Table and VLOOKUP standard.
*Ability to use initiative and manage own workload within required timescales.
*Highly numerate and have strong analytical skills.
*Positive and committed approach to continuous improvements.
