Contract: Full-Time - Permanent or Temp-to-Perm
Salary: £32,916 - £51,047 + TLR 2A
Start: September 2026

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Head of KS3 (Pastoral) to lead pastoral care and student wellbeing for Years 7-9 at a new and expanding school. This unique leadership position offers the opportunity to design and embed a whole-school pastoral ethos rooted in positive relationships, high expectations, and restorative practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, lead and implement pastoral strategies and routines across KS3.
- Set high expectations for behaviour, attendance and personal development.
- Collaborate with families, staff and external agencies to support student needs.
- Mentor pastoral and form tutors and build a cohesive pastoral team.
- Champion wellbeing, character education and safeguarding initiatives.

Requirements
- Proven experience in pastoral leadership or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.
- Knowledge of behaviour management, intervention strategies and attendance improvement.
- Ability to create a supportive, inclusive culture for students and staff.
