Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Advisor for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London.

In this role, you will assess and support people at risk of homelessness, provide housing advice, and help them access suitable housing options.

Duties:

• Assess and support individuals at risk of homelessness, offering tailored advice.
• Provide clear guidance on housing options, rights, and responsibilities.
• Manage and progress a caseload of housing and homelessness cases.
• Collaborate with landlords, agencies, and support services to secure accommodation.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Proven experience interviewing and advising the public in housing or homelessness services.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, including Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
• Experience providing practical advice and solutions to tenants or applicants.
• Experience managing cases, maintaining records, and drafting formal decision letters

What's on offer:

Salary: £30ph+

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
