We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused HR Advisor to join my clients growing team and act as a key partner across the business. This is a brilliant opportunity if you’re looking to step up, expand your impact and work in a fast-paced, professional environment where HR is respected and listened to.
You’ll spend 2–3 days a week in the office, building strong relationships and becoming a known, trusted go-to for all things people.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this varied, hands-on role, you’ll be the first point of contact for HR advice across the business, owning and delivering support throughout the full employee lifecycle. You will:
Partner & Advise
- Build strong relationships with managers, employees and stakeholders
- Coach and guide leaders across:
- ER casework (lower-level)
- Performance and absence management
- Recruitment and workforce planning
- Organisational change and wellbeing
- Support managers to embed best-practice HR solutions at every stage
Own the Employee Lifecycle
- Lead onboarding, inductions and new starter check-ins
- Manage family leave, holidays, sickness and absence processes
- Support annual pay review: benchmarking, manager discussions and documentation
- Review all HR letters/contracts prepared by the HR Administrator
- Conduct exit interviews and share key insights
Shape HR & Culture
- Support engagement activity including wellbeing, ED&I, employee forums and surveys
- Generate clear HR data and insights for senior leaders
- Work on HR projects and continuously improve policies, processes and ways of working
- Ensure HR compliance and stay ahead of employment law changes
- Support the HR Administrator in daily queries and escalation routes
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive if you love solving problems, collaborating with people and being part of a team that genuinely values HR.
You must have:
- CIPD Level 5 (or Level 3 with strong advisory experience)
- A minimum of 2 years in a dedicated HR advisory role
- Solid experience handling lower-level ER issues
- Strong relationship-building skills and proven stakeholder engagement
- Experience in a legal/professional services environment (or similar)
- Background in a business of up to 500 employees
- Strong understanding of HR policies, employment law and best practice
- Confident, open communicator who can influence at all levels
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work with autonomy
- Good Excel skills to interpret and present HR data
- A proactive, positive, solutions-focused mindset
Salary & Benefits
