Job Title: Education Health and Care (EHC) Coordinator - Permanent Position
Salary: £31,283 - £37,181 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - South East England Council

A Southeast England Council is expanding its SEND and Inclusion Service and is seeking five dedicated and experienced Education Health and Care (EHC) Coordinators to join us on a permanent basis.

This is a hybrid role, requiring regular attendance at the office and flexibility to work across local hubs. You will play a vital role in supporting children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and disabilities, managing the full lifecycle of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the statutory EHCP process from assessment through to review and amendment.

Collaborate with children, families, schools, colleges, training providers, and health and social care professionals to develop high-quality, outcome-focused EHCPs.

Ensure all plans comply with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice (2015).

Be the main point of contact for families, offering clear guidance and compassionate support throughout the EHCP process.

Maintain accurate records, track outcomes, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our service.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience managing EHCPs, including both pre- and post-14 transitions.

Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory responsibilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-agency environment.
