WRS Tech`s marine team have a number of vacancies for multiple marine businesses covering the UK and overseas.

The client I am recruiting for are looking for an Electrical Supervisor. As the Electrical Supervisor, you will be mostly based from home travelling to sites across the south of England. Ideally you will be located, or willing to relocate to the surrounding areas of Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey or Berkshire. You will carry out all electrical activities for the installation and commissioning of all types and manufacturers of critical power and associated equipment.

You will also take responsibility as the companies NICEIC Principal Duty Holder / Qualified Supervisor for all electrical works carried out including installation, commissioning, assigning, participating in, and inspecting the work of Electricians, Engineers, Apprentices and Sub-Contractors carrying out work on electrical systems.

Responsibilities (Brief Outline)

- Solid understanding of electrical installation, testing and power distribution covering critical power equipment
- On the tools - carrying out fault diagnostics, rectification, installations, maintenance

Duties of the Electrical Supervisor (Detailed):

- Principal Duty Holder / Qualified supervisor (electrical) with responsibility for NICEIC compliance
- Carry out full electrical works to complete installations and commissioning for a wide variety of critical power equipment.
- Perform inspections, fault finding and testing of electrical installations, controls and machinery
- Carry out electrical testing and complete and administer the electrical test and inspection certificates with responsibility for managing and signing off all certification to NICEIC compliance.
- Carry out load bank testing, site surveys, inspections, fault finding, repairs and testing of critical power equipment and electrical installations.
- Provide breakdown response and resolution, commissioning and customer training of critical power equipment.
- Supervision of electrical installation teams and electrical installation work (site supervisor / AP / AE)
- Enforce safety regulations, rules and working conditions.
- Complete installation, commissioning, SAT, FAT and customer training of installations, control systems and machinery.
- Provide key technical assistance as needed to internal engineering staff and customers alike.
- Accurately complete all service visit reports and records in timely manner.
- Be part of the on call rota.
- Willing to occasionally work unsociable hours including weekends and bank holidays as determined by the needs of the business.
- Mentor and assist with on the job training and supervision of apprentices and junior engineers.
- Train and instruct customers, engineers and subordinates on relevant procedures as required
- Estimate the time and materials required for remedial jobs and submit reports; initiate requirements for supplies, tools, and equipment as necessary to complete jobs.
- Train and instruct personnel in the safe operation of equipment and tools.
- Install and configure connectivity options via telemetry, BMS and associated devices
- Test and evaluate equipment to ensure it meets specifications.
- Provide specific technical expertise for projects and design department
- Complete accurate and in depth site surveys in order for sales to accurately quote and for projects department to facilitate installation planning and implementation.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

- Experience within industrial electrical installations
- 2+ years` experience of a supervisory role
- Desirable - Site Supervisor Safety Trained
- Desirable - LV Control panel and electrical distribution experience
- Desirable - PLC and SCADA experience
- Desirable - Strong analytical and fault finding skills.
- Desirable - A team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves.
- Desirable - Self-motivated and customer-focused.

- CG 2391 Inspection Testing of Electrical Installations
- Suitable Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical discipline
