About the Role A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Bury, Greater Manchester is seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children to boost confidence, improve attainment, and provide meaningful classroom support.
In this role, you will deliver targeted booster and intervention sessions, help prepare engaging learning resources, and provide valuable pastoral support to ensure pupils feel supported both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver small group interventions and booster sessions for pupils across KS1 and KS2.
Support teachers with lesson preparation and differentiated learning resources.
Assist with monitoring pupil progress, observations, and data collection.
Provide pastoral and wellbeing support to pupils who may need additional encouragement.
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For
Recent experience supporting children in KS1 and KS2 within a UK primary school (essential).
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom support skills.
A proactive, patient, and supportive approach when working with pupils.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
