Job Title: M&E Shift Leader (Days Only)
Location: Liverpool Street, London
Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 per annum (up to £55,000 for strong candidates)
Working Hours: 4 On, 4 Off - Days Only (7:00am to 7:00pm)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Leader to join the engineering team at a large, multi-tenanted commercial building in the City of London.

This is a hands-on leadership role, working within landlord services on a high-profile site, managing day-to-day engineering operations while remaining technically involved.

The Role:

• Leading a small on-site shift team delivering M&E maintenance.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
• Supporting both electrical and mechanical systems across the building.
• Acting as the first point of contact for technical issues during shift hours.
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with compliance and health & safety standards.
• Liaising with day engineers, fabric team, supervisors and management on site.

Package:

• £50,000 - £52,000 basic salary (up to £55,000 for strong candidates)
• 4 on, 4 off days-only shift pattern
• 20 shift days annual leave
• Call-out rota 1 in 2 (£120 standby - low call-out volume)

Requirements:

• Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
• Strong experience across both electrical and mechanical building services.
• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role desirable.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Experience working within commercial building environments.
