HGV Technician - Stockport - Up to £41,000

Our client, who are a UK based trucking company, are looking for a HGV Technician to join their team in Stockport, UK

As HGV Technician you will be tasked to service all vehicles and trailers along with working on a rota for breakdown callouts with you also making sure that vehicles are checked & in line with company policies.

Full time: Monday to Friday - 07:30am - 17:30pm

Salary: £41,000 plus paid overtime

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with all vehicles and trailers.
Perform regular maintenance tasks.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns.
Complete repairs efficiently and accurately, ensuring vehicles are in compliance with regulations.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint issues and make necessary adjustments.
Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient workflow.
Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices for HGV maintenance.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
IRTEC Certificate is essential
Strong mechanical and electrical skills related to heavy vehicles.
Must have Class 1 HGV Licence
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues and supervisors.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
