RM Recruit are proud to be working with a Stourbridge based organisation who are seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Assistant to join their team on a full-time, fixed-term contract basis for 6-9 months. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to support a busy finance function within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be immediately available or available on short notice.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial data, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Accurately sort, organise, and maintain financial data across internal systems and spreadsheets

* Input high volumes of financial information, ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times

* Review and cleanse data to identify discrepancies, duplicates, or errors

* Reconcile financial records, including invoices, payments, and account entries

* Assist in preparing financial reports by compiling and structuring relevant data

* Categorise transactions in line with company policies and accounting standards

* Support the finance team with data extraction and analysis for audits and reporting

* Maintain up-to-date and well-structured filing systems

* Liaise with internal departments to obtain missing or unclear financial information

* Assist with routine administrative tasks within the finance department

* Continuously identify opportunities to improve data handling and process efficiency

Person Specification:

* Strong attention to detail.

* Excellent organisational skills.

* Ability to manage high volumes of data accurately.

* Confident working independently in a remote setting, while also collaborating effectively with wider teams.

* A proactive mindset and willingness to improve processes will be highly valued.
