Description
The key responsibilities for an Accounts Payable Specialist will be:
- Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, ensuring the purchase ledger is accurately maintained and transactions are processed promptly
- Ensure supplier invoices are received, recorded, and settled in line with agreed terms using ERP system
- Distribute invoices to relevant budget holders for approval
- Reconcile purchase orders against supplier invoices to ensure accuracy
- Process supplier payments via BACS and Direct Debit
- Prepare and complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations
- Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policy and prompt reimbursement
- Manage the distribution and processing of corporate credit card statements, auditing submissions to ensure adherence to company policy
- Perform audits and reconciliations of Revolut bank accounts
- Post supplier payments and other ad hoc disbursements to the ledger
- Set up and maintain payment templates within banking systems
- Support year-end audit requirements by preparing reports and providing requested information
- Ensure all Accounts Payable activities comply with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
Profile
The successful Accounts Payable Specialist will be:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong excel skills - pivot tables and V/X lookups
- Good understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
