An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 Sonographer to join a well-established AHP service in Dumfries. As a Band 7 Sonographer, you will be responsible for:

• Undertaking a broad range of ultrasound examinations, with a primary focus on obstetric scanning.

• Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in line with professional and clinical standards.

• Producing accurate diagnostic images and comprehensive written reports.

• Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support effective clinical decision-making.

• Ensuring ultrasound equipment is used safely and appropriately, arranging servicing, calibration, and maintenance as required.

• Maintaining accurate clinical records in accordance with local policies and professional guidelines.

• Complying with health and safety regulations and infection prevention procedures.

• Participating in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance clinical expertise.

Essential:

• HCPC registration.

• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience as a Sonographer.

• Proven experience in obstetric ultrasound scanning.

• Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-focused approach.

Desirable:

• Full UK driving licence to support work across multiple sites.

• Experience working autonomously in a Band 7 capacity.

• Competitive hourly rate of £60.00 (negotiable).
