My Evesham based client is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Legal Assistant to join their friendly and growing residential property team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a supportive environment and is keen to develop their career in the legal field.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the team.
  • Prepare and submit quotes to clients and handle various queries from clients, solicitors, lenders, and estate agents.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and monitor the progression of matters.
  • Manage the opening and closing of files on the case management system, ensuring compliance with the firm’s AML, quality standards, SRA, and CQS regulations.
  • Handle leasehold transactions and carry out necessary online searches.
  • Utilise the Land Registry portal for submissions, replies to requisitions, and orders for official copies, leases, and title plans.
  • Generate Stamp Duty Land Tax calculations and submit applications.
  • Prepare and submit billing documents, receipts, and payments to the finance team for fee earners.
  • Provide occasional reception cover as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous work experience as a conveyancing assistant is preferred.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a legal office.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of case management software.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a basic understanding of the conveyancing process.
