Astute's Renewables Team is exclusively partnering with a leading business in the UK's solar and energy storage market to recruit a HV Commissioning Supervisor. The business design, build and operate renewable energy assets across the UK and are looking to add to the team due to an internal promotion.

The HV Commissioning Supervisor role comes with a salary up to £65,000 depending on experience, with a company car and excellent benefits. The role will involve a fair amount of travel to the client's sites, up and down the UK.

Responsibilities and duties of the HV Commissioning Supervisor role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will:

Lead and supervise commissioning duties across utility scale solar and battery storage sites
Perform High Voltage (HV) operations
Play a key role in commissioning phases of projects, liaising with the ICP, DNO and other external personnel
Working with the Authorising Engineer, you would look for areas of improvement opportunities across the assets
Schedule and execute HV switching operations
Monitor, audit and ensure subcontractor compliance with RAMS, commissioning protocols and inspection and test plans
Be a major influence in the smooth transition from commissioning to operations of each asset
Ensure that all works are completed to the best standard and in line with Safe Systems at Work
Travel around company sites when required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

At least a level 3 qualification in electrical installation
2391 test and inspection
HV AP15 or equivalent is key
HV switching experience
Commissioning and supervisory experience in market
