Project Manager - Social Care (Local Government Council)

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager with experience in HR and change management to support the delivery of Social Care reforms within a local government council. This role is central to supporting the Families First Programme, working closely on workforce planning, restructuring, and aligning project outcomes with Corporate HR processes.
You will report to the Transformation Lead within the Families First Programme Team and play a key role in ensuring effective delivery through collaboration, stakeholder management, and change support.
Key Responsibilities Project Management
- Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
- Develop project plans, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
- Facilitate project meetings, track progress, and report to senior leadership.
HR Collaboration
- Partner with Corporate HR on workforce planning, staff engagement, and change management activity.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and embed best practice across the programme.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Translate complex project requirements into clear and actionable delivery plans.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.
What We're Looking For - Proven experience delivering projects within a local government or public sector environment.
- Strong background in HR, workforce planning, or change management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational ability and a proactive approach to problem solving.
