Reading (Hybrid – 2 days office)

£34,000 + Bonus

Contract: Permanent

The Role

A client-facing payroll role within a professional services environment, managing end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients.

You’ll ensure accurate, compliant payroll delivery while building strong client relationships and working within a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll for multiple clients
• Process payroll data including starters, leavers, changes and deductions
• Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
• Submit RTI filings and produce payroll reports
• Handle client queries and maintain strong relationships
• Manage payroll deadlines and billing for client portfolio
• Support audits and maintain accurate documentation

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven payroll experience in a multi-client or bureau environment
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes
• Ability to perform manual calculations
• Excellent Excel and numerical skills
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Highly organised with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
