Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Walsall - SEND and General

Location: WS5, West Midlands

Start Date: Spring Term

Contract Type: Part-Time, Half Day Mornings only - Mon to Fri

Salary: Dependent on experience, competitive

About the role:

We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Walsall, who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real impact by supporting children in the schools Nursery, you will be supporting SEND children as well as on a general basis in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting class teacher with learn through play activities according to the EYFS Curriculum
• Supporting pupils with SEND and behavioural needs/issues
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans if necessary
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Providing general classroom support when required
• Occasional personal care.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (UK Recognised)
• Proven experience in an EYFS Setting - Nursery or Reception
• Strong understanding of SEND and effective behaviour management strategies and techniques
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning
• Strong level of spoken and written English
