The role requires the designing & developing of both electrical and pneumatic controls solutions for specialist and standard machine production on Dispensing a metering mixing equipment.The company is part of a bigger group and currently employs 18 staff at their modern office based in Wellingborough.
This function was previously out sourced however the company is now looking to bring the role in house and employ their own Control Systems Process Engineer.
As the companies Control Systems Engineer/ Process Engineer you will have responsibility for:
Designing and develop control systems for electro-mechanical sub systems and overall machine control
Electrical/electronic design
Creation of controls drawings for production
Pneumatic design
PLC & HMI programming
Robot programming
Electrical testing of completed machines
Design for CE and EMC compliance
Trouble shooting issues within the production and in service
Work with the technical and engineering teams
Minimum travel would be expected to customer sitesThe ideal Control Systems Engineer/ Process Engineer will have a HND in electrical or electronic engineering (or equivalent) and have worked within a similar Industry and be familiar with basic principles of PLC programming languages. You are required to be familiar with the following standards and have worked to those standards for your application to be processed
Machine safety standards BS EN ISO 12100:2010 & 14120:2014
Electrical design / manufacture reference BS EN (phone number removed):2006+A1 & BS 7671:2008
EMC directive 2014/30/EU
CE / UKCE
