Location: Central London

Network HR are leading an exciting search for a Head of Talent Development to join a medium sized speciality Insurance client undergoing significant transformation. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a market leading Talent strategy plus championing L&D and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives throughout the business. You will personally and in collaboration, work with external experts to design and deliver milestones and experiential programmes that allows for the development of their workforce across the organisation. This is a brilliant role for an experienced Head of Talent Development specialist to be part of the structural transformation which will cover the organisations Executive committee and its population.

• Partners with HRBPs and the business to coordinate, communicate and execute learning programs that drive internal talent development
• Develops talent programs from the ground-up based on key people initiatives and talent needs
• Lead in the design and implementation of programmes and key people initiatives that re-enforce a high performing culture, e.g., performance and talent management, reward and recognition, employee engagement.
• Partners with Instructional Designers to design engaging program materials
• Facilitates talent development programs, either face-to-face or virtually
• Collaborate with leaders across the organisation to develop their team members
• Reviews existing talent programs and partners and makes enhancements and modifications to improve learner experience, retention, and organisational performance
• Creates and implements evaluation plans for all talent programs owned
• Partners with Corporate Communications, HRBPS and others to coordinate, schedule, and communicate implementation of programs
• Ownership for end-to-end process for key talent programs and systems, specifically leadership development, mentoring and Workday talent platforms
• Keeps current with market trends and demands, acting as a thought leader, bringing new learning, talent and people strategies to the organisation
• Work with Team Leaders to understand the benefits of these training programmes and evaluate how the new skills gained are being integrated and applied into their team's daily work
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to craft meaningful development plans
• Implementation of agreed D&I initiatives and planning
• Ownership of Succession Planning, working closely with the HRBPs
• Ownership of the Talent Review process, working closely with the HRBPs
• Line manager coaching
• Contributes positively to all relevant HR projects in line with Group HR strategy

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of designing and delivering Talent programmes and will be able to evidence a career in Change/Transformation. You will also need:

• A thorough understanding of HR/Talent leadership theories and best practice.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise activities and co-ordinate input from internal and external partners.
• Strong facilitation skills which encourage participation and appropriate challenge of participants.
• Excellent communication skills
• You will have the intellectual rigour and insight to be credible with a highly intelligent and experienced group of partners.
