TEXO Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our external client in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, with the recruitment of a CNC Machinist (Horizontal Borer) to join their established machining team.

This is a key position responsible for the safe and precise operation of CNC machinery, with a particular focus on horizontal boring. Working with industry-standard equipment and Fanuc controls, you'll play a vital role in maintaining high-quality standards and supporting manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate CNC horizontal borers (Doosan with Fanuc controls)

* Carry out precision drilling, boring, and milling tasks

* Maintain machinery and tools in accordance with manufacturer guidelines

* Ensure compliance with safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment

* Maintain traceability of materials as part of the Quality Assurance System

* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Requirements:

* Time-served CNC Machinist (e.g., through a Modern Apprenticeship)

* Minimum 2 years' experience with Fanuc controls - setting, operating, and programming

* Proven experience with horizontal boring machinery

* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* 5+ years of relevant experience within the Oil & Gas industry

* Advantageous: ability to program from scratch
