CMA is engaged exclusively by multi-national business based in in Portsmouth to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to undertake responsibility for the timely and accurate reporting for various entities within the Group.  What will the Senior Financial Accountant role involve?

• Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will produce monthly and annual statutory returns including assisting with the finalisation of the annual financial statements
• Preparation of the monthly P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and month end close
• Monthly cost centre reporting and analysis, intercompany reconciliations and management of the Fixed Asset register
• Preparation of quarterly tax returns and monthly collaboration with Group Treasury on accounting for derivatives and hedging accounting
• Act as key liaison with external auditors, providing all information requested
• Assist with the annual budget and quarterly forecasting

Suitable Candidate for the Senior Financial Accountant vacancy:

• Applicants for the Financial Accountant position will hold a full accountancy qualification with either previous experience of working within a similar position or looking to make their first move from Public Practice
• Working knowledge of IFRS is desirable, as is strong communication and stakeholder management skills
