Roofing & Cladding Designer

Location: Rotherham (Office-Based)
Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE)

Our client, a well-established and growing business within the roofing and cladding industry, is currently seeking a skilled Design Technician to join their team based in their Rotherham office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to work on exciting commercial and industrial projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce accurate and high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings for roofing and cladding systems.

*

Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop workable designs.

*

Liaise with project managers, site teams, and external contractors to ensure design intent is understood and delivered.

*

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to integrate their components into design solutions.

*

Support the technical team with project design documentation and revisions.

*

Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, health & safety, and project specifications.

Requirements:

*

Previous experience in a design role within the roofing, cladding, or construction sector is essential.

*

Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit or other 3D modelling software is advantageous.

*

Strong understanding of building construction and technical detailing.

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

*

A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
