Accounts Assistant

Connect Appointments have an exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our clients Finance Team in Peterlee, on a temporary contract.

Working as an Accounts Assistant:

• Monday to Friday (25 hours)
• 09:30 to 14:30
• £12.50 per hour

As an Accounts Assistant your role will involve providing analytical and administrative support to our clients Finance Team. Where your duties will include:

• Ensuring all supplier invoices have a valid PO and inputted onto Sage
• Payroll support through updating time-sheets, issuing payslips, and updating weekly payroll journals
• Input cash book debtors/creditors and monthly journals onto Sage line 50
• Inputting of sales invoices
• Chasing purchase order numbers and credit control duties
• Other finance functions and responsibilities

To be successful in this accounting role you will have previous experience in a similar position, with experience using Sage Line 50 and Xero (preferably).

• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google software
• Strong organisational skills within the ability to prioritise and complete multiple projects with accuracy and in a timely manner
