Rutland County Council - LFD Testing Assistant
Location: Oakham Enterprise Park, Ashwell Rd, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 7TU
Contract: Initial contract to 24th May 2021 with possible further extensions.
Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 5:30pm
Payrate: £11.27 an Hour
Support Lateral Flow Testing - Including queue management, data processing and also processing and assessment of tests.
Able to travel around the Rutland area if required.
Be comfortable and able to stand for long periods of time (this may include outside of the building).
Able to conduct some physical and manual handling elements of the role.
Current Driving Licence would be desirable.
Purpose of the Job:
To increase testing for COVID-19 the Government has introduced rapid lateral flow tests for individuals who are asymptomatic (no symptoms).
Rutland will be rolling out lateral flow testing and you can support our residents by assisting with the delivery and operation of self-administered testing at our COVID secure mobile testing site.
Full training and personal protective equipment will be provided.
Support with setting up and dismantling lightweight materials for the site.
Support individuals to register for the test using their own device.
Allocate test kits to individuals and assign/direct to testing area.
Supervise, guide and encourage individuals to undertake a self-administered COVID19 test.
Accurately time and process the test once completed.
Confirm test result, entering onto the system using the supplied iPhone.
Dispose of test kit appropriately.
Wipe down surfaces following agreed protocol.
Adhere to the strict guidelines and procedures required.
Queue management when necessary
Assemble/build test kits.
Deep cleaning areas if required.
