Quantity Surveyor

• Job Type: Contract (3 to 6 months with potential for permanent position)
• Location: Doncaster (On-site with some opportunity to work remotely)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (08:30 - 17:00)
• Salary: £350 per day

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in the redevelopment of a regional airport. This role focuses on enhancing the customer journey and commercial viability, offering a unique opportunity to impact the passenger experience from security to departure.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead cost planning and commercial management throughout the airport refurbishment phases.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis for remodelling passenger flow to optimise exposure to retail and duty-free areas.
• Support the design and implementation of upgraded toilet facilities, aligning with passenger expectations and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and operational teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
• Prepare tender documentation, manage procurement processes, and evaluate contractor bids.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast expenditures, and manage financial variations.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations and airport standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in infrastructure or commercial refurbishment projects, ideally within the transport or aviation sectors.
• Strong understanding of cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• RICS or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work closely with the Head of Security and adhere to strict guidelines.
• Capability to collaborate with both public and private sectors to enhance the customer journey post-security.
