The Northeastern Territory Manager will be responsible for planning, managing and executing regional strategies to increase new account acquisition and existing account penetration of the Company's commercial and residential Building Materials product lines. This is a new position created to manage and accelerate the company's strong growth. The geography is New England ( CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT). The successful candidate will live in the central MA to NH geography. An existing base of business will be inherited and there is considerable upside sales growth opportunity.
Compensation could reach into the $80,000 range on the base salary DOE, with a performance bonus adding up to$20,000 or more. Car allowance, office technology, and full expense reimbursement. Generous benefits, including 401K.
Travel will average 50%.
B2B Building Materials outside sales experience is required.
This position will operate remotely from Company headquarters and needs to be very self-sufficient, without being a lone wolf operating without needed and necessary support. Leadership in planning and executing geographic, customer and product line sales initiatives is expected. The ability to plan and deliver specific sales presentations, and the technology skills and business acumen to accomplish this also expected. Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal skills are necessary.
This position will be filled by a person who exhibits the necessary skills and has a track record of aggressive sales growth particularly in the building materials space. This is a position for a top sales professional with the ability to effectively sell to a wide range of customers, from local business owners to large corporate procurement professionals. The proven ability to work with and through distributor sales organizations will be highly preferred.
The successful candidate will have a track record of proven competencies (skills, knowledge, acumen) within the hardlines segment of the building materials industry. A minimum of 5 years of outside B2B sales experience is required. A Bachelors Degree is required.
Works with and reports to a Regional Sales Manager. This executive's operating style is open, collaborative and supportive. He will be as accessible as needed and desired to support this position.
This position requires extensive travel within the multi-state territory. Strong time and territory management expected. Depending upon experience, this position may involve management of independent sales reps eventually or at the on-set.
