Registered Manager - Children's Home Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Leader Group is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a
Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 4-bed children's home in Hemel Hempstead, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a rare opportunity to shape a new service from the ground up and make a lasting impact in children's lives.
The Role As Registered Manager, you'll oversee the setup, registration, and day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it delivers high-quality, trauma-informed care in line with Ofsted standards. You'll be supported by an experienced Responsible Individual and play a key role in building a positive, child-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Ofsted registration process and prepare the home for opening
- Recruit, train, and manage a committed staff team
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safeguard best practices
- Work closely with the RI and senior leadership on service development
- Foster a therapeutic, supportive environment for children with EBD
About You:- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Experience as a Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up
- In-depth understanding of Ofsted requirements and children's residential care
- Proven leadership skills and a passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable children
