GMP Recruitment are proud to partner a successful and highly recognisable Logistics company located in Redditch. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Client Account Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm working 40 hours a week.

You will be offered a highly competitive Salary of up to £50,000 per annum, which is demonstrable with previous, relevant experience, including additional company benefits such as car allowance.

We are seeking a motivated, commercially astute, and results-driven Client Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of existing customer accounts while also driving new business growth within the logistics sector. This role requires a strong focus on strategic account development, customer engagement, contract performance, and identifying new opportunities to drive revenue and profit. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing annual account plans, maintaining SLAs and KPIs, and ensuring seamless service delivery through collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Client Account Manager main duties:

* Overachieve revenue and profit targets for nominated existing customer accounts.

* Win new accounts and drive business growth through enhanced offerings and customer engagement.

* Create and deliver annual account plans for all nominated clients.

* Take full ownership of customer contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).

* Monitor and manage customer performance via agreed KPIs and internal performance metrics.

* Introduce and promote the full suite of company solutions to both new and existing clients.

* Develop deep, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

* Provide ongoing communication with customers to improve retention and satisfaction.

* Work cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and support teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.

* Establish industry connections and expand influence across the wider sector.

* Conduct regular performance reviews and client meetings to explore growth opportunities.

* Identify and promote cross-functional product and service opportunities.

* Champion customer requirements internally, ensuring their needs are met within resource limitations.

* Manage projects within client accounts, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Client Account Manager desired skills and experience:

* Proven experience in a similar role within the logistics sector preferred.

* Demonstrable success in meeting and exceeding revenue and profit targets.

* Track record of growing customer accounts through strategic planning and increased engagement.

* Strong understanding of B2B sales and a consultative approach to account management.

* Excellent commercial and contract negotiation skills.

* Able to develop meaningful relationships with clients and internal teams alike.

* Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-focused logistics environment.

* Strong communication and presentation skills, confident at all levels of business.

* Able to manage multiple priorities, resolve conflicting requirements, and implement improvements.

* Highly motivated with a “can do” attitude, keen to develop and take ownership.

* Full, clean UK driving licence.

* Willingness to travel in the UK and abroad as required.
