We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a small care home located in East Preston, West Sussex. This role requires a dedicated individual who can lead a team while ensuring the highest standards of care for the residents.

Duties

* Manage the day-to-day running of all aspects of the home

* Responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the home

* Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each resident.

* Supervise and support staff members, providing leadership and guidance to ensure quality care delivery.

* Administer medications as required, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.

* Responsible for arranging rotas, ensuring adequate team members are employed.

* Foster a positive environment for residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement in activities.

* Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.

* Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.

* Responsible for the marketing, promotion and sales of the Home

* Maintain accurate records related to resident care and staff performance.

* Provide the highest level of personal care and attention to Residents, following individual care plans carefully and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive

Skills

* Proven experience in care home management

* Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and dementia care practices.

* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.

* Proficient in developing and implementing care plans that address the specific needs of residents. Knowledge of Person Centred Software (PCS)

* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with residents, families, and staff.

* Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks efficiently
