The Registered Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care for both children and adults. This role requires compliance with all relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and CQC standards, with an emphasis on safeguarding, inclusion, health and safety, and continuous quality improvement.

In addition, the Registered Manager is accountable for safeguarding, staff performance, service development, the use of digital systems, and the ongoing improvement of services. They will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, support the growth of the business, and actively promote Willboag's values and ethos within the team and the wider community.

The key responsibilities of the Registered Manager include managing and coordinating day-to-day activities across the service, ensuring that services are delivered in line with Willboag's core values, policies, and procedures. They must ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements, including the Health and Social Care Act 2008, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and Health and Safety regulations. The Registered Manager will also oversee compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, prepare for inspections, and handle statutory notifications as needed. They will maintain legally required records and compliance displays.

Additionally, the Registered Manager will act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns in accordance with legal and local authority requirements. They will foster a strong safeguarding culture among staff and service users, ensuring health and safety compliance through regular risk assessments, including fire safety checks and infection control.

The role also involves implementing and monitoring quality assurance frameworks and promoting continuous improvement through audits and feedback mechanisms. The Registered Manager will contribute to the planning and growth of the business and the development of new services, while establishing positive community partnerships and referral pipelines.

The Registered Manager is responsible for monitoring financial matters in line with Willboag's procedures, contributing to budget management, and taking corrective actions when necessary. They will also oversee service user financial arrangements, ensuring accountability.

Staff management and development are critical aspects of the role, including recruiting and inducting staff according to the Willboag Safer Recruitment Policy, conducting regular supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings, and managing performance through disciplinary, grievance, and absence issues. They will identify staff learning and development needs, including mandatory training and NVQ achievements, and actively contribute to staff training in leadership, safeguarding, and care quality.

The Registered Manager will use digital care management systems for care planning, incident reporting, and compliance tracking, ensuring that data handling complies with GDPR and confidentiality policies. They will also maintain effective communication systems within teams and with external stakeholders, building relationships with commissioners, social workers, families, and advocacy services, while representing Willboag positively in professional settings and networking opportunities.

The role requires participation in the on-call rota, attending emergencies, supporting staff outside of regular hours, and pursuing professional development.
