We are proud to be working in partnership with a leading UK manufacturing business, as they continue to expand their operations and open new facilities nationwide.

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function across multiple sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and improve engineering teams and processes while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance in a fast-paced, essential industry.

What you'll be doing:

Lead and oversee the day-to-day maintenance of all electrical and mechanical plant equipment across sites.

*

Develop, coach, and inspire multi-site maintenance teams, maintaining high standards of work and safety.

*

Work closely with senior leadership to plan and deliver CapEx and engineering projects on time and to budget.

*

Introduce and embed a maintenance scheduling software system to improve planning and reporting.

*

Manage and optimise both preventive and reactive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.

*

Support production teams to improve machine performance and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

*

Carry out root cause analysis and implement robust, long-term solutions to recurring technical issues.

*

Oversee the management of spare parts and ensure the availability of critical equipment at all times.

*

Ensure full compliance with all health & safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.

What we're looking for:

* Level 3, HNC, or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).

* Proven engineering leadership experience within a manufacturing environment - food, packaging, automotive, or similar sectors desirable.

* Strong track record of managing and delivering CapEx projects. Sound knowledge of production systems, maintenance planning, and lean/continuous improvement principles.

* Confident leader and problem-solver, able to drive performance and build effective teams.
