Learning Support Assistant - Hourly Rate: £16.00 (inclusive of holiday pay)

- Working Hours: 08:45/9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, minimum 3 days per week up to 5 days
Join our team at the College as a Learning Support Assistant and play a pivotal role in driving the inclusive strategy across the college. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Day-to-day of the role: - Act as the key point of contact between Learning Support and Programme Areas, ensuring effective collaboration and shared planning.
- Provide holistic support to learners with SEND, Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and High Needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement tailored support strategies that enhance learner engagement and success.
- Monitor and report on the progress of learners, adapting strategies as needed to meet their evolving needs.
- Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with the latest educational practices and legislation.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate.
- Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or a related field.
- Proven experience working with learners with SEND, EHCPs, and High Needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in education.
- Compassionate and dependable, with a readiness to make a meaningful impact.
