A well-established aerospace manufacturer in the Tewkesbury area is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer with strong expertise in 5-axis milling, mill-turn machining, and programming in Siemens NX. This is a key technical role supporting advanced machining operations.

The Role

You will lead the development, optimisation, and support of complex milling and mill-turn processes, ensuring exceptional precision and efficiency for aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and optimising CNC programs using Siemens NX
• Supporting and improving machining processes on Mazak and Okuma 5-axis and mill-turn machines
• Driving continuous improvement across tooling, cycle times, and machining strategies
• Troubleshooting complex machining issues and supporting operators on the shop floor
• Collaborating with design, production, and quality teams to ensure robust manufacturability
• Leading process development for new product introduction

About You

• Strong background in 5-axis milling and mill-turn machining
• Experience with Mazak and Okuma machine tools
• Skilled in Siemens NX programming
• Aerospace or similarly regulated precision-engineering experience preferred
• Confident working in a senior or lead engineering capacity
• Analytical, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
