Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Stockport Primary School - 3 Days per Week

Are you a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stockport, who are seeking a HLTA to join their team 3 days per week, starting as soon as possible.

This is a long-term role with the potential to transition onto a school contract for the right candidate.

About the Role:

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Stockport

Working Days: 3 days per week

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Long-term, with the opportunity to go permanent

Pay: Competitive, depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Leading whole-class sessions in the absence of the teacher

Supporting with planning and marking as required

Delivering high-quality lessons and maintaining classroom standards

Working collaboratively with teaching staff and contributing to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A Level 3 or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification

Proven experience teaching classes independently

Confidence in leading learning, managing behaviour, and adapting to different year groups

A proactive, professional, and flexible approach
