Job Title: Compliance Surveyor - Passive Fire

Location: East Midlands

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week

Position Reports To: Fire Protection Manager

Key Roles and Responsibilities

As the Compliance Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

Carry out monthly audits of site documentation to ensure it complies with FIRAS /BM TRADA requirements

Involvement in the annual FIRAS Audit

Feedback on training requirements for operatives ensuring all relevant courses and site required qualifications are maintained and up to date

Manage all site survey requirements inclusive of the following

Inspect all compartmentation

Carry out or manage all door surveys

Produce report on Robust details and dimensions for QS to price on.

Estimate Timescales and skill sets required for any remedial work

Report on site conditions (access, limitations etc.)

Attend management meetings as required.

Attend Client meetings as required.

Provide technical advice and guidance to site operatives and management where appropriate.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

SMSTS/SSSTS

Asbestos Awareness

FIRAS accreditation to carry out and certify/sign-off works.

CSCS Card holder

Preferred skills

Knowledge of fire protection works and processes and products.

Conversant with systems such as Bolster and Site Audit Pro

Inspect and sign-off works to ensure compliance, including intrusive surveys

Able to take informed decisions on compliance issues and to formulate compliant solutions.

Obtain technical judgements from appropriate suppliers/designers.

Able to liaise with site operatives and site management where appropriate.

T proficient - Microsoft Office Able to plan and manage own diary to suit Company objectives

Person Specification:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:

Experience in a similar role, within the construction sector

Detailed understanding of fire protection products, methods and legislation

Commercial awareness

Excellent interpersonal skills

Proactive team player who can also work well with others

Ability to work to tight deadlines
