***HGV CLASS 1 SHUNTER WANTED***

Here at The Best Connection we are looking for an experienced Class 1 shunter driver to join our client based in Hedge End. This role is ongoing during the peak period.

Salary - £19.08 per hour / £27.26 Overtime

Location - Hedge End

Start Time - Night Shift

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Safely shunting Class 1 vehicles and trailers around the depot yard
• Working closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth trailer movements
• Vehicle checks before and after every shift
• Safely connect and disconnect cabs and trailers
• Ensure trailers are parked and positioned safely
• Report any defects, damage immediately to the transport office

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC & Digi card
• Class 1 experience
• Previous yard shunting experience
• Ability to manoeuvre large vehicles safely in confined spaces
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• Work 5 out of 7 nights a week
• Happy to work nights
• On-site parking
• Ongoing work
