Eaton Syalon is recruiting on behalf of a high-growth, service-led business for a Finance Business Partner to join their expanding finance team.
In this role you’ll partner closely with operational leaders, influencing commercial decisions, driving performance, and ensuring the strong growth is supported with robust financial insight.
Working across multiple business areas, you’ll partner closely with operations — providing analysis, challenge, and guidance to shape strategic decisions.
You’ll lead planning and forecasting cycles, deliver meaningful performance reporting, and identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and cost optimisation. With a high degree of autonomy, this is an opportunity to make a real impact in a business experiencing rapid success.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business leaders to provide clear, strategic financial insight and influence key commercial decisions on key client accounts
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycle
- Stay alert to market trends, identifying both risks and opportunities that could influence performance.
- Produce and present monthly performance analysis and management reports, drawing out key trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Build robust financial models, deal sheets, and business cases to support investments, cost optimisation, and strategic growth projects.
- Champion continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting tools, and business partnering practices.
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, ensuring targets are met and performance challenges are addressed promptly.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small finance team (2–3), fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet control, including key areas such as client rebates and accruals.
- Act as the link between finance and non-finance teams, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Engage with client stakeholders on contract renewals, reconciliation queries, and insightful data
Our client is keen to attract a qualified Accountant with strong commercial acumen and the ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will need experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering along with well developed financial modelling and Excel skills. If your experience has been gained within a large/fast paced business setting this would be advantageous
