Production / Assembly Technician (Entry-Level)

Job Description

 This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a small-office/warehouse environment for a light industrial manufacturing company that has been in business for 30+ years. This position is responsible for many areas of the day to day operations in our production facility including but not limited to:

  • Product Assembly and Testing

  • Product Rebuilding/Repair

  • Quality Inspection/Control Using Blueprints and Schematics

  • Customer Support, Including Parts Order Taking

  • Troubleshooting of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Electrical Systems

  • Must Be Able to Lift 50+ lbs. and Stand for Extended Periods of Time

  • Occasional Over-time required

    Position requires:

  • Candidate MUST have a strong mechanical aptitude

  • Hands on experience correctly operating and safely using simple machine tools (screw drivers, socket wrenches, drills, grinders)

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and proactive personality

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to accurately multi-task while handling a heavy /dynamic work volume

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities

  • Detail oriented, with desire to exceed customer expectations

  • Flexible attitude to schedule changes

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as being a team player and a fast learner

To be considered candidate should have 2+ years manufacturing experience, a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.  Should be mechanically inclined, have a knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and have knowledge of general shop tools/hand tools (screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, drills, etc.). All candidates must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and drug screen.

This is a full-time job with medical benefits, paid time off, and retirement plan. Compensation depends on experience.
