A local authority client is seeking an experienced Project Liaison Officer to join their Commercial Service team on a short-term contract to cover sickness absence. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer engagement and stakeholder management experience within housing, construction, or public sector environments.

The Role

You will act as a key link between customers, tenants, and project teams, ensuring clear communication and high-quality service delivery across housing-related projects. This is a hybrid role, with a base office and regular on-site/community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, coordinating responses and ensuring effective resolution

* Investigate and manage customer complaints, ensuring they are handled in line with policy and escalated where required

* Conduct interviews with relevant stakeholders and provide clear written and verbal reports to management

* Build strong relationships with tenants and customers, ensuring they are heard and supported throughout project delivery

* Attend customer inductions, open days, and engagement events, including contractor-led sessions

* Support communication around investment programmes and planned works, providing guidance to residents

* Record and promote positive customer feedback (compliments) to support service improvement

* Collect and analyse tenant satisfaction data, identifying trends and supporting action plans to enhance service performance

About You

* Experience in a customer-facing role within housing, construction, or a similar environment

* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

* Proven ability to handle complaints and resolve issues effectively

* Confident in report writing and data analysis

* Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (essential)

Working Arrangements

* Hybrid working - office base with regular site visits and community engagement

* Flexibility required to attend events and meetings as needed
