Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £40,000

Shift: Monday to Friday (Days)

Location: Derby based but you will be required to travel across the East Midlands to the companies retail shops

About the Role

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This full-time, field-based role involves maintaining and repairing equipment across multiple retail sites throughout the East Midlands, with occasional support required at our central production facility. You'll play a key role in ensuring our equipment runs safely and efficiently, supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to emergency repair needs.

Maintain and repair a variety of equipment, including ovens, fridges, lighting, and plumbing systems.

Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations.

Collaborate with store teams and external contractors to resolve technical issues promptly.

Maintain accurate service records and manage tools and materials effectively.

Provide excellent internal customer service and support.

 What We're Looking ForEssential:

Proven hands-on experience in maintenance and repairs.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Full UK driving licence.

Flexible with working hours, including occasional out-of-hours work.

Excellent communication and time management skills.

Desirable:

Experience with PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), panel wiring, and steam systems.

Background in food production environments.

 Qualifications
City & Guilds or NVQ/BTEC in Electrical Maintenance or Installation.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2022) certified.
