Job Description

The Content Analyst combines collaborative skills, technicalinsights, and subject matter expertise to support the company' s ability todeliver learning products and other materials through multiple distributionchannels, including third party platforms and distributors. This positionrequires a passion for problem-solving and a strong sense of ownership overanalytical tracks of work and project success. Largely a troubleshootingexpert, the Content Analyst also seeks solutions for building new metadata andasset management capabilities.

As a member of the Asset Management team, the Content Analyst is responsiblefor daily downstream delivery and maintenance support, including triaging andprioritizes issues about content metadata and systems, determining withbusiness stakeholders the key requirements and timelines, and coordinating withthe appropriate technical teams to reach the most effective resolution whileconsidering process improvement opportunities for the Content Management teamalong the way. This role supports the integrity and governance of the data modeland maintains a solid understanding of content data and tracking requirements.

This is a long term contract position that is currently remote. Office plans on reopening in Spring 2021 and position will sit out of their Brighton, MA office.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Integrity

·        Supports governance over the datamodel application and product information management system and other assetrepositories from a Content Management perspective.

·        Monitors data integrity throughoutsystem-to-system transition, including use-case modifications, to ensuresuccessful promotion to delivery platforms and feeds.

·        Consults on ELPD, CL, HE &Incubator initiatives related to the data model and content systems.

Capability Building

·        Carries out project managementtasks on behalf of the AM team to ensure new requests are delivered accurately,and communication and documentation are always completed.

·        Collaborates with ContentManagement teams and other stakeholders to implement new metadata and assetmanagement capabilities, such as new metadata concepts and values and newassets.

Maintenance and Support

·        Serves as subject matter expert onsystem processing and delivery needs and nuances, including multi-systemimplications for changes in workflow or data.

·        Maintains a clear understanding offunctionality, performance, issues, upgrades, and enhancements of conversionsoftware and enterprise content management systems, in particular, the Alfrescodata and content repository, to support development, use, and enhancements.

·        Represents Content Management forEnterprise IT and Financial Systems teams and champions HE & CL productsand business priorities.

·        Maintains centralized,comprehensive documentation of the systems HE & CL use to intake, process,create, and deliver content, including special requirements and technical debtassociated with HE & CL content data structure.

·        Manages multiple instances ofsystems for testing (QA vs. Production environments, etc.) and carries out testand deployment plans for system changes, enhancements, and upgrades.


·        Strong technical understanding ofcontent and information management systems.

·        Proven experience working withcomplex and interrelated data systems and documenting and managing workflows.

·        Outstanding oral and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to address both technical andnon-technical audiences at a variety of organizational levels.

·        Ability to think logically,critically, and constructively about complex problems, clearly communicatefindings of analysis, and propose solutions that address expressed needs.

·        Understanding of agile andwaterfall methodologies and experience working with developers.

·        Superb attention to detail and arigorous focus on delivering quality output.

·        Ability to multi-task andprioritize competing tasks and projects.

·        Project management skills a plus.

·        Ability to manage and interactwith multiple vendors.

·        Bachelor' s degree in informationtechnology or related field preferred.
