Reed FE are working with a College in Lincolnshire and are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Lecturer in Automotive Technology to join the team. This role is ideal for a qualified Automotive Technician/Engineer with a passion for the subject and a commitment to high-quality education. You will play a key role in contributing to the design and delivery of our curriculum, assisting with the growth and development of our provision.
Day-to-day of the role: - Design and deliver engaging and informative lessons in Automotive Technology.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the curriculum.
- Engage with students to inspire and motivate them in the field of Automotive Technology.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to promote learning and improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the automotive industry to ensure relevance and accuracy in teaching.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Technical & Professional Qualifications:
- Minimum of Level 3 in Automotive/MV or relevant industry experience.
- Level 2 (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge:
- Up-to-date, broad-based knowledge of the automotive subject area.
- Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to creating a safe learning environment.
Desirable Criteria: - Awareness of the importance of Equality & Diversity.
- Relevant and recent industrial experience.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTTLS, Cert Ed) and teaching experience.
