Financial Accountant - Truro/Hybrid - £55,000–£65,000

This is a standout opportunity for a Financial Accountant who wants to help shape a growing global finance function rather than slot into someone else’s routine. Reporting directly into the FD, this role suits someone who enjoys proper accounting, strong controls, and making a finance function run better.

You’ll be responsible for -

- Produce monthly management accounts across multiple entities

- Lead statutory reporting and keep the balance sheet tight

- Support internal/external audits with clean, accurate information

- Handle group reporting, consolidations and financial statements

- Oversee day-to-day accounting for UK and some EU entities

- Own fixed assets, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments

- Improve processes and strengthen financial controls

- Manage a small team and work closely with contractors

- Get hands-on with the fundamentals: Sales/Purchase Ledger, Credit Control, Bank Recs and VAT Returns

- Occasional travel to London for group reviews

I need a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with solid accountancy practice experience and audit exposure. You’ll be technically confident, reliable with reporting, and comfortable working across multiple entities. Foreign exchange knowledge is useful but not essential. You should be someone who enjoys both high-level financial reporting and hands-on accounting, with a proactive, commercially aware mindset and the confidence to take ownership in a changing finance environment.

You’ll have the autonomy to influence how the finance function operates as the group grows. It’s a varied, technically interesting accounting role with hybrid working from Truro and a strong salary band.
