About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time, permanent role involving multi-drop deliveries of construction materials across the Hertfordshire area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with licensing and company requirements
• Assist with the safe loading and unloading of vehicles
• Deliver goods according to a scheduled route across the local area
• Maintain accurate records of journey times, mileage, and working hours
• Deliver a high-quality, professional service to both trade and retail customers
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects
• Use tachograph equipment in accordance with current regulations
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures

Skills & Requirements

• HGV Category C licence (essential)
• HIAB/ALLMI certification (preferred)
• Experience operating HIAB or Moffett equipment (advantageous)
• Strong understanding of transport regulations and safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
