RG Consultancy are excited to be working exclusively with a small but growing Manufacturing business in Stockport who are looking to recruit a new Finance Manager. The role has been newly created due to a recent acquisition. The role is a hands-on role to support and lead the overall finance function for the business. This is a number one in finance role and you will work closely with and report back to the Managing Director of the business.

Role Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the processing and reconciling daily transactions, including sales, purchases, and banking
- Manage and oversee preparation of and issue customer invoices, chase outstanding debts, and manage credit control
- Record supplier invoices, process payments, and maintain supplier relationships
- Post journals, maintain the general ledger, and complete month-end close
- Reconcile bank accounts, control accounts, and balance sheet schedules
- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance reports
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow and working capital
- Maintain accounting software, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency
- Support the MD with ad-hoc analysis, cost reviews, and decision-making
- Liaise with auditors
- Continually look for ways to streamline processes and improve controls
- Manage and oversee a small accounts team of 2 people
Person Specification
- Finance/accounting qualification e.g. CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist
- Strong IT and system skills, preferably SAGE 200 and MS Excel
- Proven previous experience within a senior finance role (ideally 5+ years)
- Experience to oversee/manage a small accounts team
- Experienced and confident being a number one in finance within a hands-on role
- Experience working withing a SME/Manufacturing business would be an advantage but not essential
