SEMH Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support (Epilepsy Trained)?? Tower Hamlets?? Full Time | Immediate Start

A primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a confident SEMH Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil requiring additional support, including epilepsy awareness and monitoring.

This role is ideal for someone calm, patient and experienced working with challenging behaviour and emotional regulation.

Requirements:

* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker* Epilepsy training with hands-on experience supporting a pupil with seizures* Strong understanding of SEMH needs and behaviour management* Ability to stay calm and respond quickly in medical situations* Experience providing 1:1 support within a classroom or specialist setting* A proactive and resilient attitude

Responsibilities:

* Providing 1:1 classroom support to a pupil with SEMH needs* Monitoring and supporting a pupil with epilepsy in line with the care plan* Supporting the pupil's emotional regulation and engagement in learning* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO* Implementing behaviour strategies and positive reinforcement* Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the pupil at all times
