We’re looking for a committed and experienced SEND Lecturer to join our college team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and supporting learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inclusive Teaching: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEND, ensuring accessibility and progress for all learners.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design and delivery of programmes that meet the diverse needs of students, including Functional Skills and vocational pathways.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with Learning Support Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide holistic support and effective learning strategies.
- Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
- Enrichment Activities: Support students during activity days and educational trips, encouraging independence and social development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with SEND in educational or care settings.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to tailor teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs.
