Educational Recruitment Consultant - Help Grow Our Manchester Branch from Our Rochdale Base

Location: Rochdale (Hybrid - Office + Work From Home)
Salary: Competitive + 20% commission from day one

Following nationwide expansion and the securing of a large tender, our Greater Manchester region is entering a new phase of growth. We are now looking for a driven, ambitious Recruitment Consultant to join our Rochdale base and help shape the continued development of our Manchester branch.

This is a warm desk with both temporary and permanent schools ready to take your candidates immediately, creating genuine earning potential from day one — supported by a 20% commission structure with no threshold.

You'll join a supportive, high-performing team with the autonomy to develop your own desk while playing a critical role in shaping the wider branch.

The Role

As an Educational Recruitment Consultant, you will develop and grow our Manchester branch from our Rochdale base, supported by existing warm relationships, incoming vacancies, and active, vetted candidates.

Key responsibilities:

* Managing and strengthening relationships with local schools, MATs, support staff, and candidates

* Growing an already warm desk into a high-performing, profitable division

* Turning tender‑generated leads into long-term partnerships

* Running the full 360 recruitment cycle (sourcing, interviewing, vetting, placing, supporting)

* Completing safeguarding and compliance checks (DBS, referencing, vetting)

* Visiting schools to understand staffing needs and offer tailored solutions

* Maintaining accurate administrative and compliance records

* Driving growth and contributing to the future development of the Manchester branch

Who We're Looking For

We want someone who understands the sector, builds relationships naturally, and is motivated by career progression.

Desired Experience (Highly Advantageous)

Experience working in a school — TA, teacher, cover supervisor, pastoral, SEN, or school admin
(This experience is extremely beneficial for understanding school requirements and building credibility.)

Essential Skills

* Confidence managing both clients and candidates

* Passion for improving outcomes for schools and learners

Highly Desirable

* Previous recruitment experience (education sector preferred)

* Existing relationships with schools in Greater Manchester

* Experience with safeguarding, compliance, or administrative processes
